LEISTER Process Technologies presents its new linebeam laser for the mask welding of plastics.
LEISTER Process Technologies is expanding the application field of mask welding with a new generation of line beam laser sources: The LineBeam AT product line.
The modular conception of diode laser and optical elements allows for seven different lengths of line, ranging from 20 mm to 100 mm. Currently available are laser modules of either 150 W or 300 W optical power. The extremly homogenous energy density distribution is absolutely unique. This ensures homogeneous weld seams and faithful reproduction even with broad welding applications. Moreover, the Linebeam AT modules are equipped with “intelligence” – encompassing several sensors, reverse voltage protection, its own interlock switch, and an shutter, all accomodated within the modul. As an option, the Linebeam AT can be equipped with a aiming laser, which will considerably simplify set up procedure.
In combination with a NOVOLAS™ laser system, this type of laser is not only suitable for mask welding but also for joining broad weld seams for textiles, fabric and packaging – as well as for endless- and highspeed applications.

10 Years anniverary
Now there is a reason to celebrate: The lasersystems division of the swiss company Leister Process Technologies, global market leader in welding of plastics, will be celebrating its 10th anniversary in October 2008. Leister is thus amongst the pioneers in laser transmission welding of plastics – a in the late 90ies of the past century still brand new technology.
